If you're looking for top-notch fish and chips with that old-school, home-cooked feel — look no further! This local gem is run by the most lovely husband and wife team who clearly pour their heart into every meal they serve.
The food? Fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. The fish is perfectly battered and crispy, not greasy at all, and the portions are generous. But let's talk about the hot chips — hands down the best I've ever had. Golden, crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned just right. You can tell they really know their craft.
Their burgers are next level too — juicy patties, fresh ingredients, and the kind of flavour that keeps you coming back. Everything is cooked to order, but the service is impressively fast without compromising quality.
The whole experience feels like visiting friends who just happen to be amazing cooks. Friendly smiles, genuine service, and a warm local vibe that makes you want to support them again and again.
This place is a true local treasure — do yourself a favour and try it out. You won’t be disappointed!

So I tried a cod + chips ($12.50) and Red Ocean burger ($10) and I feel like i need to explain the food star rating.
Fish - it was sooo lackluster. No flavour, basically all crumb, thin as hell. The crumb wasn't even that good, just standard bread. I thought my chicken salted chips might save it, but there was little to no salt. While they did have a good crunch, they had no flavour. It feels harsh, but I would rate that maybe 1.5/5
Chicken - interesting that the chicken is the star at a seafood restaurant. Juicy, big chicken cutlet, fresh lettuce, not overcooked bacon, could use a little more toast on the buns but that's really nitpicky. Weird to say, but come to this seafood store for its chicken burger, it's pretty good, 4/5.
Don't come here for cod & chips (maybe the other fish are better?), but come here for a pretty good chicken burger.
